My most recent work will be on view and available for collection at Austin Art Space Gallery and Studios through June 4 in my studio space there and in the gallery. My painting entitled "Edge of Evening", pictured below was accepted into the 34th Annual AVAA Juried Membership Show. This is the most current work in my Texas Hill Country Stillscapes Series.

I will giving a 3 day workshop with Chroma Interactives and Collage techniques at the Williamson County Art Center Sept 24-26, 2010. Plan on having a lot of fun while learning about a wonderful product that is compatible with your old acrylics and collage materials. We'll bray, stamp, stomp and have a ball! Visit my Chroma teaching artist's page for more information and to view examples of my work. Bring your old acrylics along for the ride and explore your creativity with this fabulous product. Once you try Chroma Interactives and understand the mediums, the sky is the limit! Sample pigments and mediums will be available to students to explore and enjoy. Pictured are three collage images that I recently framed for the upcoming resident's show at Austin Art Space Gallery. These images are part of my Sacred Earth Series.
Join the fun as I share an endless array of applications and collage techniques!

I am pleased to announce that my painting entitled "Agave Electric III" was selected for this juried exhibition. "Agave Electric III" also, won first place in the Austin Creative Arts Society 2009 Juried Show, juror, Maxine Price.

This piece has two companion pieces,

Agave Electric I and Agave Electric II which were not selected.

Prickly Pears Blooming in my studio again!

I am currently working on 3, 30 x 30 x 1.25" Still Scapes based on images of the Prickly Pear that I gathered last spring. The first four are now on view at the Rainbird Gallery in Blanco, TX.
These can be viewed at my website.
Pictured is one of the 3 new works under construction in my studio.
I applied the initial layers with mural brushes and kept the layers raw to show texture, then used pastel pencils to define shapes.
These paintings will be shown at Bass Concert Hall in Austin TX, April 26-July 25, 2010 and will also be entered into "What Texas Means to Me", a juried show at Austin Art Space Gallery in July 2010. The call to artists will be posted soon!
