Agave Electric I, II, III

I began this set of three companion pieces after sketching and photographing Agave plants that grow near Austin Art Space Gallery.  It was late afternoon and the shapes, values, forms created by the cast shadows of the plants were delightful!  I began to sketch and take photos and enjoyed seeing the progression of shadow shapes that developed.  After I got home I looked at color combinations that could describe my excitement about the subject.  You see the results in the Agave Electric companion set of three images.  Each of the originals is 18 x 24 x .75" on gallery wrap canvas and can be viewed at Austin Art Space Gallery, 7739 Northcross Drive, Suite Q, Austin TX 78757 during gallery hours or by appointment at reanasky@gmail.com
